Hi David

If you select a table and select 'Export as Text'. Untick the 'As Formatted'
check box. You will then be asked if you want a csv or a fixed width file.

See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access-help/export-data-to-a-text-file-HA0
10006905.aspx for details.

You can then save your specification in a file.

Best

Nigel

I need to export a table as a fixed-width file, but there doesn't seem to be
any way of creating the export specification to do that. It was possible in
Access 2003. Could there be some missing add-in?
