Well, Works Suite 2002 came with MS Word. My mother has MS Word on her computer that came as part of the Works Wuite provided with her Dell computer. I know for a fact that she did not puchase Word separately. In addition, I have a Works Suite 2002 package and it says on the front of the package and on the CD, MS Word, Version 2002. It says nothing about it being a lite version, it simply says MS Word 2002. It may be they've made a change since then. However, the website describing Works Suite 2006 also says it comes with MS Word 2002. -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pruscoe@xxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, July 05, 2006 6:52 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Word questions In a message dated 7/5/2006 9:22:38 PM Eastern Standard Time, blue3123@xxxxxxxxxxxx writes: Word does come as part of Works. The problem he is experiencing, I'd say it sounds like Works needs reinstalling. He could try deleting normal.doc to see if it gets rid of the stationary. Try detect and repair in Word. But the whole thing may need to be installed. Christine No, Christine that is not true. Works is a self-contained package of "lite" versions of Microsoft's productivity tools. It does NOT include Microsoft Word. (Indeed, Word, purchased stand-alone, is probably comparable to the price of Works!). ************************************************************ * You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu at the top.
