Ahhh...you didn't mention that there was a macro involved...well, someone else will have to help you then cuz I'm sure that's what's causing it, and I don't do VBA...sorry Linda Linda's Computer Stop http://personal-computer-tutor.com ABC Free Ezine ~ Free Ebooks and Tutorials *all outgoing mail scanned by Norton AV. Thanks, Linda. That's the way I'm removing all the track changes - file/open. I can file/open the document all day and it won't jump into markup mode, but if I open via file/new it opens in markup every time. It has an AutoNew module that calls the form, via below, and once the form is completed, the 'ok' button sends the data to the bookmarks into a new document and that's when it jumps into markup mode. I have gone to a clean document, pasted the problem file into a clean document, imported the form/autonew module at least a dozen times today to try to get rid of any corruption in the file, if any, but can't overcome this one bug. Is there something I can add to the 'ok' button to set it in 'Final' track changes mode so no matter what anyone's word settings, it will open a new file the way I'm envisioning? What do you think?
