Hi Ess....yahoo allows a lot of "junk" that freelists can't handle.
Remember that yahoo is big business and freelists is run by volunteers
and is a bit more "pure" :-)

If your office assistants are greyed out, I'm wondering if you even have
them installed? Search your hard drive for a folder called Actors. See
if you have it and if it has anything in it. If not, you will have to
reinstall them from the CD.

Let me tell you that I teach online Outlook classes and the only people
in there that have major problems are those using Outlook 97. The rest
of Office 97 isn't THAT bad, but Outlook 97 just plain stinks, in my
opinion.

I'm currently subscribed in both addresses (I'm double-subscribed to

several of my mailing lists so I won't miss anything during the
transition).
Both addresses are receiving list mail just fine now (weird how the
Yahoo
groups allow that "junk" to get through and don't see it as an
attachment).
The test mail I sent hours ago from Outlook to my AOL address (not to
the
list address) never made it, even though it shows as having been sent
(in the
Sent Items box). I did not get an error message on that one.

I wish I knew why all was fine last night, and today, after adding
the MS
Exchange portion of the program and installing all the Exchange
extensions
(.ecf files), and after disabling Rich Text (actually, I don't think it
was
ever enabled), I can't send mail without junk at the end, and the Office

Assistants are still grayed out on the Tools menu.

I think I should just give up, uninstall the program, and look for a
good
deal on Office2000. I've bugged all you nice folks enough with this.
Time
for me to enter the 21st century, MSOffice-wise.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions, Ess
