That's an interesting thought -- I have been using Word as my email editor. I'll have to try it using Outlook's html format and see how that goes. Thanks! -----Original Message----- From: Linda F. I never do that cuz it's overload on the system usually....and I really don't see the need, since I can get most of what I want just using Outlook in html format. But, it's possible, if you are using Word as your email editor that that's what caused it. You shut Outlook down but Word didn't disconnect, therefore neither did Outlook, I guess. At least you know how to solve it if it happens again.=20 Linda F. I closed all applications, tried to restart the machine and got a message that said "Please close all Microsoft Outlook applications before shutting down the machine." In the Task Manager no applications were running. But when I went to the Processes tab, Winword.exe and Outlook.exe were both still running even though the apps had been closed. I ended those two processes, restarted Outlook, and now it is fine. So I don't know what that was about but now all is well. Has anyone seen that sort of thing before -- processes still running when the apps have been closed?
