I am not sure how large/complex your file is, but you could try to copy and
paste the data into a new Excel spreadsheet... sometimes older files, or files
with large amounts of data, can become corrupt, and therefore they will start
to act up.

Hope this helps,
Chris

I remember coming across something like this a VEEEERY long time ago. Time
asses and the memory weakens, so I'm not sure but .....
Have you tried entering a NEW date, or replacing one already in the assigned
olumn, AFTER reformatting it?

The real date appears in the entry window, but dates appear in numeric
 format in the assigned column

I tried reformatting the cells to the standard date format to no avail.

 Help, please.

 Many thanks!

 Bill
