[mso] Spell Check not working

One of our staff is telling me that the spell check feature in Word 2000 and
Outlook 2000 doesn't work. I checked this out and when the spell check runs, it
doesn't find any errors. Re-booting corrected this once....but then it stops
working again.
I can't find anything wrong...all the right boxes seem to be checked and I ran
"detect and repair" but that doesn't seem to help.
What am I missing?
