[mso] Sight Impaired users (was new member ? about spellchecker?)

Hi Rex. And Welcome. To my knowledge, there is no way to make the
actual underlining of words audible (unless there's a setting in your
speech software?). But, if you go to the Tools menu in the Office
Programs and run the spellchecker from there, it will bring up a dialog
box which should speak to you, I assume.

Maybe Paul or Thomas (two other sight impaired members of this group)
can help you. But let them know what version of Office you have and what
your speech software is (JAWS?)

Also, I've added something to the subject line, so hopefully Thomas and
Paul (and any others in here that may be lurking) will see this and
hopefully reply.

P.S. There is an Office Sounds add-in you can download from Microsoft
that adds some additional sounds, but I'm not sure exactly what they
are. You can find that here:

Subject: [mso] new member ? about spellchecker?

Hi all,
My name is Rex and I just joined this group. I am a blind computer user
and an idiot with regard to most Office Applications.
Linda says she can teach an old dog new tricks, so wel'll see. she also
tells me that there are others on this group that are blind and that
you're all exceptionare at Office.

So this won't be a post without a question or unrelated to Office, let
me ask the following.

Is there anyway that I can cause Word to send me a beep when a word is
misspelled. From my understanding misspelled words are shown with a
wavey line under the word, and I was wondering if I can make this an
audible experience?

Thanks in advance.

Rex
