Shifted enter is press and hold shift and press enter. The line following
will not have a cap.

I am using XP with Outlook2000 & Word2000 and works.

Settings are different for Word when used as Outlook editor.
Open a document within Outlook and check the options. To verify any change
in the end of line character, select show all formatting marks.
End of line with a shifted enter will show up as arrow pointing left.
End of line with a non-shifted enter will show up as a pillow.
Sample:
Alajskdjglaksjfh
Akj;alkdf;lkaj;lk
A;lksdjf;laskjfas;lk
laskjdf;laksjf;
asl;dkfjal;skfj
a;lskdfja;slkjf

I don't know that phrase, but if it means using the shift at the same time
as

The "enter' - no, it didn't work.
