James. I received the Publisher file you sent me privately and you are
right. For some reason, the 0 pt. setting does not hold on the second style
and I'm not sure why cuz it did hold when I did it. The only thing that I
can see which is different and you didn't tell me the first time is that you
set 24pt. For the before AND the after spacing and I only did it for the
After cuz that's what you originally said.

Anyway, all I can tell you is that I played around with it and if you set it
to 1 pt. it does hold, but it just doesn't hold at 0 pt. and I guess that IS
a bug of some kind.

Hope this helps you somewhat.

Nope...just did that and the styles stayed the same as when I made them.

Are you applying two different styles in one text box or using different
text boxes for each? I did it in two different text boxes and maybe that's
the difference? Try it that way and see if the styles stay the same. I have
a feeling that it's not cuz you are basing one style on the other, but that
you are putting two different styles in one text box...maybe?

I don't have time now to check that out cuz I gotta get to bed....but when I
did it in two different text boxes, the styles remained as I made them, even
after saving, closing, and reopening.
