Just means there's nothing to compact.

If you're not convinced, to prove its working okay, simply copy and
paste a few emails in from any folder and then put them into your
deleted folder. Do this several times till you've got a few hundred
messages in there. Then check the file size, then delete the messages
and do a compact. You will hear it running for a while, and your file
size will decrease.

I'm having trouble getting my pst file to compact.  When I click the
compact now button, the "compacting" window comes up for about 2
seconds, then goes away.  I'm running Outlook2002 on WinXP in standalone
mode.
