James:
I would start with uninstalling the printer as much as one can then
reinstalling the printer! If its running USB I would try it one ltp1 with
a cable if it can be done? Also look for new drivers! Some of these
cheaper less expensive HP and others are a bear some times on USB But ?? I
have one of HP's big printers and USB don't cut it but it runs on a cable
very well so?

This may not be Office related (it might be Windows or hardware). If it
is not, let me know and I'll find the right forum.

I have a colleague who uses Word and a little HP printer.

Sometimes, when she is printing a Word document the printer starts
printing garbage, a few characters to a page and a page eject.

Attempts to get it to stop, turning it off and on, etc., are fruitless.

The only thing that she has been able to do is to load a ream of paper
and let it print till it is done.

She wrote me to ask my help. I'm looking for someone else who might
understand what she is talking about and be able to tell me so I can
tell her.

Thank you.
