Ok Lynda...I had this same problem with a student's computer and Vic
suggested I see if he had Winfax installed, cuz it's a known issue with
Winfax.  Well he did (but he didn't use it)...so, I just uninstalled
Winfax and Outlook stopped dialing.

Could this be the case with you too?

That is unchecked...what concerns me is that it is connecting
automatically
while I'm away from the computer. I checked under internet options
also...
