John, I forgot to mention that after you create the custom animation
sequence, that you can then move the two text boxes around so that they
exactly overlap each other.

Is there a way in PowerPoint to have text fade out and then be replaced with
different text that fades into the exact same location. I can animate the
fade out, but I have not found how to animate it so different text fades
into its place. Any help would be appreciated.
