Did you also close Word? Since it's got a Word attachment, that could be the
problem. Also, hit ctrl+alt+del and check your running processes (not
applications...PROCESSES). Make sure Outlook and Word (or winword) are not
still appearing in there...if they are, select them and End Task on them.

If all else fails, try a reboot...that should fix it.

I have a message stuck in the Outbox.  I cannot send it, open it, move it or
delete it.  Trying to open it gives the error message that "Outlook has
already begun transmitting this message".

I have tried closing Outlook and restarting but to no avail.

The message is a text format message with a Word document attachment and was
created from Word 2003 using the File, Send to ..., Mail Recipient As
Attachment.

Can anyone tell me what I should do to remove the message and start again.
