In Windows Explorer, search for a folder named Startup. The shortcut bar might be there, if so, move it out and see if it doesn't start up next time you boot. =20 -----Original Message----- From: Lola Foote [mailto:ljfoote@xxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 02:53 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Office Shortcut Bar Hello, I'm new to this list. I'm not Office bashing but I don't like the shortcut bar and want to get rid of it. I have Office 97 Professional which can't be updated. The Office Shortcut Bar doesn't work because of that. My OS is Windows 98 SE, I have 10GB of hard drive, 70% of which is free space. I have tried numerous times to delete the shortcut bar using the msconfig file but every time I restart the computer, it comes right back. Is there something else I need to do to get rid of it or do I have another problem that is causing this? I appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.
