Have you tried right clicking on the office toolbar? There may be an option there to take it off the desktop. =20 Peter Wilson, CCNA Network Administration/Support Heritage-Encon Inc 704-588-1366 (W) 704-451-0596 (C)=20 -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lola Foote Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 2:53 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Office Shortcut Bar Hello, I'm new to this list. I'm not Office bashing but I don't like the shortcut bar and want to get rid of it. I have Office 97 Professional which can't be updated. The Office Shortcut Bar doesn't work because of that. My OS is Windows 98 SE, I have 10GB of hard drive, 70% of which is free space. I have tried numerous times to delete the shortcut bar using the msconfig file but every time I restart the computer, it comes right back. Is there something else I need to do to get rid of it or do I have another problem that is causing this? I appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.
