Sorry...don't know what else to tell you. This fixed the problem for
several others who posted the same problem to the MS newsgroups!?!!??!?!

thank you, but this doesn't work (I'd already tried it without having
seen 
the MS fix); the acmboot.exe file in the CD root directory (which is the

fix MS advises) calls up only a subset of the installation menu that
allows 
you to install only part of Office Developer OD Tools), you can't for 
example install Visual Source Safe or the remaining Developer
applications. 
After installing the pieces it allowed me, I went to the VSS directory
in 
the CD and ran the corresponding acmboot.exe file, but I get the message

that to run this file I have to run the installation wizard first, and
it's 
the one that doesn't run initially.
After installing Developer as per the MS fix, when you reinsert the CD
it 
gives again the message that VBA is not installed. I have found no way 
(yet) to circunvent this.
