Really! And on 9/11 they managed to get all 5000+ down, safely, in only
3 hrs! Amazing. But also realize they're all at so many different
altitudes, that, thankfully, it doesn't look that crowded when you're up
there...unless there's something special going on in the area, then lots
of private planes are around.
Our house is right under one of O'Hare's paths. Far enough out so we
don't really hear them, but they're dropping gear right about over our
house. In summer, you can lay in the pool and just watch them fly over
one after another about every 30 seconds to land!

That is so cool!! But I had no idea there were so many planes in the air
at one time. No wonder air traffic controllers get ulcers.
