You need to add a picture switch to the merge field to fix this. At the
moment, your field is probably something like this:

        {mergefield zip}

You need to insert a switch to end up with:

        {mergefield zip \# "00000"}

Subject: [mso] Labels dropping the 0 in Zips

Please someone bail me out!
I am trying to mail merge labels in Word 2002, my OS is XP. In Excel I
formatted the cells in my Zip Code column to custom 00000. When saved
in
Excel all 5 numbers are visible, but when it goes into Word, if 05555 is
the
zip, only 5555 will print. It will not allow me to edit the data once
word
has set it up as a label.

I hope I explained this problem clearly so you can help me resolve this
problem.

Thanks
Jan
