I have been considering a Hot Key via a Macro. I am just amazed that, with all
the fanfare given by Microsoft to the Outlook Bar, that it cannot be reached by
a keystroke shortcut supplied by Microsoft.

Well, it work since I start to use outlook 97, so just that folder list
and then shift - tab and I can select which folder I want to go.
Ctrl - shift - a will allow you to create a new appointment and many
more shortcuts key.
I got a list in hand, and if you are interested, I can see what I can
find for you.
Since its from Microsoft, it should be there by default.
And you are aware of that you can create a macro or VBA to accomblish
this task right and assign a hotkey for it?
