I need to get a newer version of Outlook (have crappy ol' 97). Ok, so while I dither around about which version of Office 2000/2002/XP to buy, how 'bout I just buy a book that has the Outlook 98 CD in it? From the Slipstick site, I learned the Outlook 98 program was withdrawn as a free MS download in 1999, but I also learned the CDs can still be had in copies of out-of-print books. I am about to purchase one such book at Amazon for a whopping $20.48 (inc shipping). So just before I hit the Submit button, what do you all think of this plan? Will I be able to install this program and have it work on my Win98 pc and not interfere with the Office 97 components (Word & Excel) I use all the time? Thanks, Ess . ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
