Do the former by going to: File > Data File Management > highlight your PST file > Settings > Change password But the better way is to use an Outlook Profile: Control Panel > Mail > Display Profiles Set one up for each user in your house, using a password, then every time you start Outlook it will prompt for a profile and it's password.
