Does your Excel spreadsheet have column headers that say things like
Last Name, First Name, etc? If so, make sure this row is formatted
differently from the rest....just make it bold or something...I have
seen mail merges done where the headings are in the same format as
everything else and word can't recognize them as headings

Does your Excel spreadsheet have blank lines in it? If so, remove them.
A mail merge stops when it sees blank lines and won't include any data
after the blank line. If you want your spreadsheet to have space
between the entries, just make your rows taller....never use blank lines
or columns in Excel..they cause lots of problems.

If you want, you can send me the Excel spreadsheet and I will try to do
a merge with it here...unless the info is confidential, obviously....but
I may be able to fix this faster for you if I have the spreadsheet here.
If you send it to me, let me know which version of Office you are using
so I don't screw up any formats by opening it in the wrong version here.

No where along the way does it give me that choice. But I created a new
spread sheet with the same info & renamed it. Tried the same routine &
this time I got labels, but they are all the same, which happens to be
the first name on the list. I can change each one by coping & pasting
but this is very tedious.

Any more suggestions would be appreciated.
