No where along the way does it give me that choice. But I created a new spread
sheet with the same info & renamed it. Tried the same routine & this time I
got labels, but they are all the same, which happens to be the first name on
the list. I can change each one by coping & pasting but this is very tedious.
Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

When you do the merge, do you get a choice on how to connect...like DDE
or ODBC, etc? If so, try one of the others....read this:
