Hi Linda,
I use Eudora 5.2 and it's very good, and way more secure than Outlook and 
Outlook Express, as long as you configure it to use its own HTML viewer and 
"not" to use the Microsoft Viewer for viewing HTML. Has everything I need 
and then some.
You can install it for free in adware mode (I personally find the ads very 
unobstrusive), and it has no spyware I know of.
