[mso] Forcing a column to be ALL text in MS ACCESS 2000?

When column is marked as text within import, how do I prevent Access from
importing the following as scientific notation?

00Dx <-Imports as text ok
00Dy <-Imports as text ok
00Dz <-Imports as text ok
00E0 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E1 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E2 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E3 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E4 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E5 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E6 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E7 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E8 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00E9 <-messed up, shows as 0.00E+00
00EA <-Imports as text ok
00EB <-Imports as text ok

I went back and re-imported to make sure I did set them to text, which I
did, and they still come out that way. How do I correct this?

Using MS Access 2000.

Thank you.

Robert
