Because you're probably using an HP printer and their print drivers are
screwed up on some printers...particularly home/color printers.
What one are you using? If it is an HP, like 800 series or such, you'll have
to pull the margin up to a min of about 0.75 at the bottom. The driver
SHOULD force it up...but it doesn't. Even if you don't have an HP...this
could still be the problem. It's just that several HP home printers are
notorious for this problem.

I created a document and added a one line footer to it. When I look at Print
Preview, I don't see the footer at all. When I print it, there is no footer.
When I convert it to PDF format, I see the footer. Why am I having trouble
seeing it in Word?
