Cool stuff, Vic! I haven't written a batch file in years!

And with my trick of dragging over the files...and your bat file...I just
converted 283 msg files from my inbasket (copies) into txt files in a
desktop folder in about 0.2 seconds! ;-) Wham, bam...thank you Vic! ;-)

Ummm...except, I really don't NEED them that way...so I'll delete them now.
But no need for any extract app...just DRAG 'em over.

If you have OE, it's not that much a hassle to do. I exported over 2000
outlook messages into text files this way:

1. I created a new identity in OE(just so I could have an empty dbx with
nothing but the exported emails.

2. I then imported all the inbox Outlook messages to the OE account.

3. I then used DBXract to extract all the messages from inbox.dbx to eml
format to one folder.

4. I then created a simple bat file in the folder:
ren *.eml *.txt
to make them all into txt files.

And that's it.

If you have OE and not dbxtrct, and would like to do it this way, I can send
it to you.
