I believe that you posted this question a while back. It's possible that
you didn't get a reply because the question is rather a general one.

The answer is Yes, it is possible. How you do it depends on:

        1) How you want the 2004 data to appear on the chart
                a) as a backward extension of the 2005 data
                b) as a new series alongside the 2005 data (for comparison)

        2) Where your 2004 data is
                a) in the same worksheet as the 2005 data and contiguous
with it
                b) in a separate worksheet or even a separate workbook

To modify the range of data and the series displayed in a chart, right-click
the chart area and select Source Data. Here you can change the Data Range
and add new Series, depending on what you need to do. If your 2004 data is
in a separate workbook, you would find it convenient to copy it or link it
into the same workbook as the 2005 data, either on a sheet of its own or
inserted above the 2005 data to make a continuous 2 year set of data.

You could also copy the 2005 chart to another sheet or another workbook and
change the Data Range and Series ranges to cover the 2004 data (but you
specified adding the 2004 data to the 2005 chart).

I hope that gives you pointers on the way to go
