So, IS there an Internet Connection set up on that computer (since
that's what the message is telling you to setup, did you try setting it
up?) Is it an Internet mail the person is trying to send or an Intranet
mail? If it's Internet, then that needs to be set up on that machine.
If it's Intranet, using Exchange Server, then look at the properties for
the mail setup on that machine and be sure it's setup correctly.

What happens when she/he tries to send an email directly from Outlook to
this same address....does it prompt to setup the Internet connection
then too?

ok, in the internet options of his IE, MS OUtlook is set for the Email
Program, and it's set to Never Dial a Connection on the COnnection tab
(it's
a laptop). Any suggestions?

No, it does not say it is or is not the default client.

I'll have to check on IE>Tools>Internet Options

Exchange Server.

What happens when this person just opens Outlook? Does it say it's not
the
default email client? I *think* there's a setting in OE that tells it
NOT
to be the default, but I'm not sure.

Is Outlook set as the default in IE>Tools>Internet Options?

Is this happening with internet mail or exchange server?

Hello,

A user in my office is having a problem I haven't seen before and was
wondering if anyone could help... Using Office 2k2, he opens a document
in
Word, then clicks on "File->Send->Mail Recipient (As Attachment)" and it
brings up the Internet Connection Wizard instead of a new email message
in
Outlook. Everyone else here it brings up Outlook. It's almost like
it's
trying to use Outlook Express... I checked the box to make Outlook the
default email client but that didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks.
