Tell him to click Tools/Options/General and uncheck the two Word Perfect
Help options.

I have a friend who somehow has now got his MS Word asking Delete Yes/No
down in the left corner of status bar whenever he selects text and tries
to then press Delete key. He has to press again to delete. How does
this get turned on and off?
