Not sure what you mean about the edges problem, left and right, Vic. What
problem are you having exactly?

Thanks to all that replied one way or another.
My way of thinking is maybe a script of some sort besides the obvious of
creating a pic and using it as a footer/header which actually doesn't
solve the edges problem [left and right]
Format-->Borders and Shading-->Custom--> is okay but you still cannot
choose a clipart or whatever to use as the picture or form for a border
- only what is pre-built into word.
