Good idea. I cleared out A2, and physically typed in "1" (one), with the 
same result. Do you agree the formula itself is not invalid at least?

My book does not give an OR example for conditional formatting; however, 
it does give an AND example. So I figured will if it takes an AND, it 
will also take an OR.
