OK....in Outlook 2000, you make this choice when you first install it...you
have a choice to either install the Corporate/Workgroup configuration, or
the Internet Email configuration, or the No Email configuration (which is
what you should have chosen, but obviously didn't)....so, what I would do is
uninstall Outlook and reinstall it and make this choice...this would
probably be the easiest way at this point, since you can't even get inside
Outlook (I *think* this is what you are saying)

However, if you CAN get inside Outlook, go to the Tools menu and choose
Options, then click on the Mail Delivery tab and click on the button at the
bottom that says "Reconfigure Mail Support"...once in there, choose the No
Mail configuration and OK your way out....close Outlook and open it again,
and you will have just the non-mail parts of Outlook (which includes the
calendar)

Subject: [mso] Can I use just the calendar in Outlook?

Hi,
I would like to use the calendar feature in Outlook, but would like to
continue using Outlook Express for my e-mail. Is this possible, and how do I
configure it?

I have a single computer, single user, WinME, MSOffice 2000, OE/IE 5.5

When I try to start Outlook to use the calendar I get the error message:
"Outlook could not start because a location to send and receive e-mail could
not be found......"

Thanks for the help!!

Julie R
