Subject: [mso] Attachments that aren't.... (re Outlook97)

                About 1/3 of my group mail arrives with the paperclip
icon. When I open
these, I get one of two things:

        (1) an email window with nothing but the blue e icon (Internet
Explorer)
with a file name below it. The file names are all "ATT00015.html" (with

different numbers based on how many came in with this Check-Mail
session);

        or (2) an email window with a Notepad icon and a file name like
"ATT00018.txt; charset = Window...."

                These emails are from members of two different mailing
lists (one is mso;
the other is a YahooGroup). The posts do NOT contain attachments -- I
can
read them on extra-cautious AOL with no indication of attached files.
Doubleclicking on the file names gets me a box titled Opening Mail
Attachment and asks me to choose between Open It or Save it to Disk. I
have my Security setting (in Tools: Attachments) set to High -- there
are
only two options: High or None. Any ideas? Change the Attachments
setting
to None?
Thanks, Ess
