It's shouldn't be to difficult to recreate a report in Access. It is a
little tricky to account for all possible text and spacing. Generally all
the static controls I set to align 'left' and then make the control itself
about the same size as it's text. Then for the controls that will get it's
value from the reports recordsource, I'll do the same thing, only this time
leaving enough space in the control for all possible text strings. It's
difficult do to, I usually run through the reports with test data first,
just to see the outcome.

Controls on a report also have a property 'CanShrink' and 'CanGrow' if the
control value is null or empty then it will collapse and effectively not be
there. It's handy in some applications.

Half the office is on Office 2k the other half is on XP....

Ok so, if I just leave it in Access... Is there a way import the word doc
into a access report and make it look the same, or will I have to recreate
the letter in Access?? How to I control the amount of spacing the fields
take so that I don't have big spaces on when a name is small.
