Thanks James.

Turns out, thats what I had done, I tried it again, still no matches between 
the lists, so I dumped them both into a common spreadsheet, sorted and visually 
checked them. No dupes between the 2 tables so this was not a good set of 
source files for a query
test. I'll try putting some dupes into the tables just to verify the query 
works like I meant it to.
