Kelly,

Do you have an alternative way to get the data? A pdf file is nice for
viewing but extracting data is a major pain. I've never seen a routine for
extracting data from a pdf file.

James

Hello all. =20
=20
A couple of Access 2000 questions. =20
=20
1 - I have a form into which I cut and paste information from a .pdf =
report. The information is a check number, but the report tacks an "E" =
onto the end of the number. Due to the nature of adobe acrobat's copy =
function, it's virtually impossible to separate the "E" from the number =
when copying, so what I've been doing is backspacing over the letter =
before entering when I paste it into the access form. Is there a way =
that I can programmatically truncate these text boxes if there is a =
letter at the end of the number? The field is type long integer, and I =
do some calculations with it, so it has to be a number. =20
=20
2 - Is there a way to cause the office clipboard to show on a form when =
it opens, but not all the time? What I do now is click =
"View/Toolbars/Clipboard" when I open the form. I need the office =
clipboard (for multiple copy/past operations) on this form, but the =
clipbard being on screen is very annoying most of the rest of the time. =
Can I copy and past to and from the office clipboard via VBA? Can I at =
least manipulate the office clipboard's visibility status from VBA?
=20
Thanks to all

Sincerely,<?xml:namespace prefix =3D o ns =3D =
