Yes. I mean when I close the application, reboot, it starts over with an empty table. Question: If I export, and then import to another type, have I corrected this malady? Or should save in another format, delete this database (empty!), and make the database again? I have the field names in an Excel file, which was my original "import." Frustrating when books don't address issues like this! Thank you. That should save it in another format so you can import it don't have to retype. What do you mean "starts anew"? Do you mean that if you shut access down and then double click the file, it opens up with an empty table? Lisa > I am using Access 2000, and have -almost- finished this.
