That should be it, unless you have changed something in your services.
Try copying it there and see what happens (it shouldn't hurt anything).
Stop and start the smtp service, and you should see it dis-appear
post-hast as it is delivered.

Next question, where would I find an active "queue" folder there is a
queue folder on the same level as "bad mail" but it appears empty, it
this the one or should I be looking elsewhere.

You should be able to directly copy the contents of badmail directly
into any active "queue" folder and the smtp service will deliver them!

I need a bit of help on recovery of missing mails.
Over the weekend my boss configured a new connector in our exchange
server but at the same time managed to muck up, mail relaying/routing.
We could mail out but not receive. All mail was being received by our
server but was disappearing into the ether. We have now got mail
running again, but are missing mails form Sunday morning until approx
2:30 this afternoon (Monday).
I have found a directory called "Bad Mail" that holds a lot of files
dated yesterday and today, the last were placed in there just prior to
our resumption of normal service.
I have two questions=3D3D3D3D3D20
1: is this where our missing mail is?
2: if so how do I get it out and onto the correct recipitant, or if not
Where is our missing mail and again how do it recover it
