Vickie, I didn’t mean to neglect you. I’m also keeping you in my thoughts and
prayers.
I’m praying that the EKG was in error, and the next one will be normal.
Glad you and that elk didn’t get into it.

Hi all. Just keeping you posted on a couple of things, now that I’ve talked
to Tony. First, Karen’s last radiation treatment is tomorrow. They won’t,
however, do testing to see if the cancer is gone for another three months. We
don’t like that too much.
Secondly, since our truck was having some work done on it, we had a rental
car from Monday till Friday. So, we took advantage of it and went to the Grand
Canyon on Tuesday. We didn’t know how exciting it would be for me, but I did
have fun. There were places we went in the park, where only the tour buses
could go, and some spots didn’t even have rails at the edge. But, I thought it
wiser not to go out to the edge. Guess you could say I have lost my gutsiness.
But I took a lot of pictures with my IPhone, Duane with his android phone, and
our dash cam, so we have a great compilation of picks. One overly exciting
moment was when we were coming back home, about an hour south of the Canyon,
Duane clamped down on the breaks hard. A big elk was in the middle of the lane
we were traveling. When he blew the horn, a few other elk bounced across the
road and away from the road. So, he said that as small of a car as we had, the
elk being as big as it was, would have came into the windshield, and probably
killed us. So, we were giving God praise all the rest of the way home, for
keeping us from such a result. We did stop for deer crossing the road, during
the daylight on the way up to the Canyon, but that was a casual stop, where
Duane took a video of a family of deer crossing. There are lots of elk
however, in the mountains, so there are of course signs all over. ]
Now, thirdly, when I arranged for my surgery on my hernia, they told me I had
to have the EKG with a normal reading, before scheduling. So, on Thursday, I
went to my primary doctor and had it done. However, the doctor came in and
told me it didn’t come out with a normal result. So, now I’ll have to go to a
cardiologist before they’ll do the surgery. So, supposedly 7-10 days I’ll hear
about the referral to the cardiologist. So, pray that he takes another EKG and
finds it to be normal. Things just weren’t right, on Thursday. The lines
wouldn’t stick like they were supposed to, and the medical assistant taped them
down, and so I’m hoping that its just a matter of how the EKG was performed,
causing the reading of enlargement on the left side. Take care all. Write more
when I know more.
Vickie Rolison
May God bless you now, and evermore!
