Funny thing is, a lot of blind people don’t watch TV, very much, or not at
all. I tell people about shows on TV on another list I’m on, where they talk
about everything imaginable, and they act like they’ve never heard of them, or
wonder what channel it’s on in their area, or don’t care. Most will watch
baseball, or some other sport, and maybe the local news, but that’s all. Well,
sometimes they watch PBS. So there needs to be a better way to reach blind
folks like on the radio, since blind people do listen to radio. I’ve never
heard a non24 commercial on the radio, but I have on TV and not usually at news
time. Maybe you Steve, could suggest they put more commercials on the radio.
Seems like that would be cheaper advertisement anyway.

Actually, only about one percent of the totally blind are even aware of the
condition; that's why you still see so much of their advertising on TV.

I certainly appreciate your helpful words, Steve. I really believe I have it
and wish it could be confirmed. The test I'm going for is just a regular study
and the people here haven't tested anyone for non-24. It's just a shame that
many of us aren't aware we may have it or may not be able to get the
prescription that works to regulate our circadian rhythms.

Actually, Larry, it really does affect a lot of people. Probably only one
percent of the people who have it have been diagnosed. But, estimates are
about
70 percent of totally blind people have non-24.
Admittedly, some people will have more severe symptoms than others. One of
the people I trained with had such a severe case of Non-24, that she fell
asleep
in the middle of crossing a street.
Sure, that's extreme. But, in my story about dealing with non-24, I talk
about almost losing my job because I fell asleep in a very important meeting.
Whether or not you think the prescription drug is necessary, if the
symptomology is very severe and seriously affecting your work or family life,
then you probably will be thankful there is a potential solution.

Sort of. But, the syndrome does exist. I don’t think its as wide spread as
