Let’s start with the good news. Tony called me this morning to confirm that
the pathologist results regarding Karen’s lymph node biopsy are benign. No
cancer, as the doctor had expected, but he did let them know the good news.
Now Thursday they see the radiation oncologist. Her surgeon, said probably
only a couple weeks of radiation treatments should kill the cancer. So let’s
pray that is true. Yay! Then yesterday, Duane had his six-month appointment
with his doctor. She said he has scoliosis and his bones are so
degenerative, especially in his back, there is no cure or help. She is
referring him for acu puncture, and if that helps, which she says sometimes
it does, that should relieve the pain in his back and neck. But he is
getting it all over his body. She also said his kidney function is down to
51 percent. She wants him to drink more water and see if it improves. Tony
said he would ask his kidney specialist on Thursday, when he goes, to see if
there might be other causes for Duane’s 51 percent reading. Now, for me.
Tomorrow I go to a surgeon to discuss the fact that I have a hernia. He’s
suppose to tell me how big it is and discuss options. So I can tell you more
tomorrow maybe. He also may ask for a CT scan or a better test than the
ultrasound which was done last week. OK, that about covers everything for
now. Take care all.

May God bless you now, and evermore!
