Hi Mark,
That's right, I vaguely remember Martin having an interest in shortwave.
By the way, I asked him if he preferred Marty or Martin, and he said Martin.
That's why I'm using that name.

Yeah Marcia, Marty was my fourth or fifth grade roommate, gettin kind of hazy
on that now, but what I really remember from that year is that he had a
short-wave radio which I had not seen before and I was really excited about
picking up stations from England, Cuba, China, Russia, Etc. He was very nice
and trusting in letting me play with that radio. Within a couple of years or
so, I had one of my own, a Christmas present from my favorite uncle. Marty was
rather quiet and reserved, and I never knew him to agitate or cause problems
with anyone. Someone may have already answered this but yes, he was in the
class of 72.
Mark Martin, 73.

I never knew Martin in school, but we met in the early 80's.
We worked at the same place for a short time. He was a very nice guy.
So sorry to hear he's gone.
