So last night a few incidents spread to the Chicago suburbs. way up north by
the WI border, there's a big mall called Gurnee Mills that apparently saw some
looting. Haven't read any news stories about it yet so not sure about the
extent - I just got text messages from a coworker who lives right around there.
He said his dad in Morton Grove got a call from the police (I'm assuming
automated) to tell him to stay indoors because of some incident going on in
that town (which is just a couple miles south from me). We heard one loud boom
of some sort from that direction and a few pops that could either have been
gunfire or firecrackers (I don't have the experience that some of y’all do to
tell the difference readily, esp from a distance and through windows).
