It's spring and a great time to freshen up your knowledge of bird songs.
Nathan Pieplow, who will be visiting this weekend, just had his Peterson
Guide to Bird Sounds of Eastern North America reviewed on the ABA Blog:

If you're in northern Mississippi tomorrow, Nathan will be a featured
author on Thacker Mountain Radio Hour recorded live in Oxford. The show
will be at the Lyric Theater on the Square Thursday at 6pm.
And finally, just a reminder that Nathan Pieplow will also give a
presentation and book signing at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science
on Friday at 6pm. This event is *free and open to the public* thanks to the
Mississippi Ornithological Society and the Museum of Natural Science.
