Actually, flex is present and has been checked for. And "flex++" should also
have been checked: I stumbled across the exact same problem on my test rig.
Strange.
Two things:
1) can you please send the output of the configure script along with the
config.log file?
2) in the directory where flex resides, make a link from flex++ to flex
("ln -s flex flex++") and you're good to go.
But *first* please the logs mentioned above as I specifically put some code in
configure that tests this case ... and that worked for me but not for you :-(
