I'll probably start with the BITX and add filters as Ash suggested.
Another question about the Minima follows.
What do you think would happen to the output if I added a bandpass filter
like this
https://www.qrp-labs.com/bpfkit.html
to the Minima (1 W) output before amplifying and adding lowpass filtering,
for example, for 14 MHz. Would that be sufficient to catch the oscillator
spurs, or would I still need to adjust the IF to 12 MHz, or what? I expect
it will not be that simple.
Thanks much,
Craig

. . . take BITX40, keep adding more bandpass filters and low pass filters
until you get to the band you want . . .

About the Minima, . . . to get rid of the local oscillator spur . . .
Move the IF to 12 MHz. Use band pass filters above 7 MHz for every band.
This will give you a contest grade rig. Add linrad in the backend.
