Browser hole affects Firefox 1.0.3 and 1.0.4
http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=6762
Secunia reports a frame-injection vulnerability in Firefox 1.0.3 and 1.0.4.
Mozillazine has details, including a comment that you can close the hole (until
1.0.5 is released) by clicking Tools, Options, Advanced, Tabbed Browsing and
changing "open links in a new window" to "open links in a new tab in the most
recent window":

A Secunia bulletin also notes that a similar hole has existed in Internet
Explorer 5.x and 6.x since June 2004 and has not yet been patched by Microsoft
(but there is a workaround):

Hide All Freeware
http://www.mydesktophelp.com/development.php

Use Hide All to get rid of windows that you need open, but don't use all the
time so that they don't clutter your taskbar, for instance, email clients,
management utilities, etc. Hide All also allows you to hide all your desktop
icons as well as the Windows
taskbar. You can also hide the application itself so that it isn't visible as
well. When you want Hide All to be visible again simple hold down control and
tap H. Complete usage instructions available by clicking Hide All's "Help"
button.

Take a look at some of the other programs available on the same page.

time,

Deviec Manager ~ Hidden Devices
The "Device Manager" displays information about the hardware devices installed
on your computer.

When it comes to troubleshooting, it can be an invaluable tool.

However, you may not have noticed that Device Manager does not actually list
all the hardware.

Two types of devices are hidden in Device Manager, non-plug and play devices
and ghosted devices (nonpresent).

You can easily force Device Manager to display non-plug and play devices.

Right click My Computer and click Properties. From the Hardware tab, click
Device Manager.

Select Show Hidden Devices from the tool bar View menu.

Forcing Device Manager to show ghosted devices requires a little more work.

Right click My Computer and click Properties.

From the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.

Under System Variables, click the New button.

Type devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices for the Variable Name.

Under Variable Value, type "1" and click OK.

Click OK twice more to apply your changes and exit the System Properties dialog
box.

Now open Device Manager again and from the View menu, click Show Hidden Devices.

You can run IE/Firefox/Opera in full-screen by clicking the F11 key, or select
"View" - "Full Screen" from an open window.
Clicking F11 key again will swich it back.

Antivirus software is a good choice to scan your system for possible viruses,
however no virus scanner is 100% effective as manufactures cannot keep up with
the rapid change of viruses that happens daily.
Be sure to update yours regularly.
